What Information Should Be Included on a Company Stamp in the UAE?

And what happens if you get it wrong?

🧠 Is There a Legal Format for a Company Stamp in the UAE?

Not exactly. There’s no official federal law in the UAE that mandates what must appear on a company stamp.

But here’s the catch:

Banks, government entities, the FTA, and contract partners won’t accept your stamp unless it includes specific elements.

So while it’s not “legally regulated” — it’s absolutely functionally mandatory.

📋 What Must Be Included on Every Company Stamp?

If you want your stamp to be accepted across all Emirates, here’s what you must include:

Company name in English

Company name in Arabic

Name of the Emirate (e.g., Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi)

U.A.E. (yes, with the three dots)

🛑 Forget one of these — and your stamp could get rejected by the bank, the FTA, or a licensing authority.

⚠️ What Happens If You Use the Wrong Emirate?

It’s one of the most common reasons we see stamps getting rejected.

Some business owners:

  1. Have a company registered in RAK or Sharjah
  2. But list Dubai on the stamp because that’s where their office is

Wrong move. The stamp must reflect the Emirate listed on your business license, not your physical mailing address.

At Stampman.ae, we guide you before you print — so you don’t waste time, money, or lose a client over a rejected stamp.

🖼️ What Optional Information Can You Include?

While not required, you can add:

  1. 🖼️ Company logo – makes your stamp more professional and recognizable
  2. 📞 Contact number or address – only if essential to your business (e.g., doctors, clinics)
  3. 🔢 Trade license number – optional, but takes up space
  4. 📬 P.O. Box – useful for companies that rely on mail-based operations

🎯 We recommend keeping your stamp clear, minimal, and compliant — especially if you’ll use it on legal, tax, or government documents.

🎨 What Colors and Shapes Are Allowed?

Here’s the good news: There are no color or shape restrictions by law.

But in practice:

  1. 💙 Blue is preferred for legal and banking documents
  2. 🔴 Red, ⚫ black, and 🟢 green are also widely accepted
  3. 💖 Some industries (like salons) opt for pink or purple
  4. 🌟 Luxury brands love using gold ink — and yes, that’s valid too

As for shapes:

  1. 🔵 Circle
  2. 🟡 Oval
  3. ⬛ Square
  4. 🟥 Rectangle

All are accepted. Just don’t go wild with odd formats unless you’re 100% sure where and how it’ll be used.

Want a fun design with stars, lines, or extra flair? No problem — as long as the mandatory elements are still clearly visible.

🧾 What If My Stamp Doesn’t Have All This Info?

Here’s what might happen:

  1. 🚫 Bank: won’t accept your stamped salary certificate
  2. 🚫 FTA: delays your VAT/corporate tax registration
  3. 🚫 Government: rejects your NOC, renewal form, or trade license paperwork
  4. ❌ You lose time, face, and credibility — all over a 60 AED stamp
